Jack Conlon the pitching prospect who failed the Orioles physical apparently also failed the Giants physical and several other MLB teams too and is headed to college at Texas A&M.

  1. Seth Corry is doing better than I thought he would after reading a ( At this point questionable.) scouting report on him downplaying his stock as a prospect. This was due to the level of competition he played in Utah, but so far he is pretty impressive. Those three relievers behind him seem to have a little something to them too.

  2. Without a true CFer among the 4 OFers in Richmond, perhaps Gindl is the closest they have.
Meanwhile 5 OFers in San Jose (Bryan Reynolds, Ronnie Jebavy, Steven Duggar, Gio Brusa, and Heath Quinn) are competing for playing time, and most of them need the ABs.
Reynolds (22 yo) is having a good year. Duggar did well at Richmond last year but is having a problem finding traction this year. Jebavy is listed as a CFer, too.
Perhaps the Giants don't want to rush any of them.

    1. Not a single one of the AA OF prospects is in the MLB Top-30. Reynolds (#5), Duggar (#7), Quinn (#10) are stuck in A+. I know you don't want to rush prospects too much, but I really don't see the point of the AA OF beyond being place holders. I figure you may as well start pushing them a little bit and clean out some of the AA dead-wood.

But who am I to say? I was all for dropping Crick off the 40-man and he's put in some solid work as a reliever.
