AA  Erie Seawolves pounded the Richmond Flying Squirrels 7-4:

Kelby Tomlinson(2B)- 2 for 5, SB(14).  BA= .339.
Mac Williamson(RF)- 1 for 2, BB, SF.  BA= .291.
Kyle Crick(RHP)- 3 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 4 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 2.40.

Awfully familiar looking line for Kyle Crick so seems to be stuck in a gear.

High A  San Jose Giants corralled the High Desert Mavericks 14-7:

Seth Harrison(CF)- 3 for 6, 2 2B.  BA= .288.
Austin Slater(2B)- 4 for 5, 2B, BB.  BA= .302.

High Desert is a great place to pad those offensive stat lines.  Not so much for pitchers.

  1. Crick stunk it up again, but on a brighter note, Tomlinson is now the leading hitter in the Eastern League at .339. In his last 11 ABs, he's been on base 9 times. That probably accounts for why a senior member of the Giants' staff, sitting in the stands behind the Bowie pitchers who were charting pitches, overheard them say, "Tomlinson is the hardest out in league." That bit of news came today from Ken Joyce, the Richmond hitting coach, during his pre-game interview. GO KELBY!!

  3. Even though Williamson and Tomlinsom would be on the bench.I think calling up those two guys would give the team a huge shot in the arm. And,some bats and speed off the bench.

    1. I could see calling up Tomlinson to replace either McGehee, who really needs to go, or Arias, although I think the Giants really value Arias' experience, especially in the postseason. I think Williamson needs a full season in Richmond with a possible September callup. Giants may need Mac in the OF next year.
