Down on the Farm 7/5/2012

AAA  Fresno Grizzlies defeated the Sacramento River Cats 9-8 in 10 innings:

Brock Bond(LF)- 2 for 3, BB.  BA= .333.
Conor Gillaspie(3B)- 2 for 4, HR(9), BB, SF.  BA= .312.

Eric Hacker(RHP)- 6 IP, 11 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 4 K's, GO/AO= 7/1.  ERA= 4.56.

Bond is becoming a true jack of all trades giving LF a try tonight.  Hacker's ability to get a ground ball kept this one in hailing distance as the Giants turned 4 DPs.

AA  Binghampton Mets beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels 5-1:

Chris Heston(RHP)- 5 IP, 11 H, 5 R, 0 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 2.24.

Any questions?

Michael Ynoa(RHP, A's)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 0.00.

A's first rounder Russell off to a rousing pro start.  Ynoa starting a rehab assignment?

DSL  Giants lost to Yankees1 6-4:

Angel Villalona(1B)- 1 for 3, HR(3), BB.  BA= .371.
Anthony Gomez(DH)- 1 for 1, 2B, 3 BB.  BA= .257.

Heath Hembree hits the DL with a flexor tendon forearm strain. Scheduled for MRI.  Wouldn't be shocked to hear he's getting TJ next what with recent reports of severely diminished velocity.

  1. 1-7 as an org yesterday, potential looming TJ for one if our top prospects, nag getting OWNED by one if our former top prospects.

    NOT a good day.
