  1. I don't want to use the "bust" term on him yet, but is it time to remove the uber-high expectations on Chuckie yet?

    1. He was very raw when the Giants signed him. But guy had 5 tool potential according to BA, most of these type of guys end up being boom or bust type of players. Too early to call him a bust, if next year he cant hit A ball pitching then yeah hes a bust.

Talking about Chuckie, what happened to Gus Benusa??

    2. He can't hit low-A ball pitching. So he got pulled from Augusta. Big time problem.

    3. Too early to give up on Chuckie. He's still very young.

  2. DrB, where will you rank Blackburn right now in the Giants system, has he passed out Crick?

Nice to see Osich comeback. Kontos should be with the big league club instead of Edlefsen, guy got more K stuff. Although I've been very critical of Sabs ooking like another nice deal for him and , maybe 3 in one year?? Oh year and the Gregor Blanco signing.

    1. I think I'd rank Blackburn as the #1 pitching prospect in the system right now and he would be in the discussion for #1 overall, but it's still early in the season.

    2. Anyone have updates on his stuff? I heard he sits 90-92 with a sinking fastball and can touch 95 with his 4 seam. He also has a curve and a decent change? Anyone seen him pitch or heard anything else.

  3. Blackburn over Heston? So we have 3 legit SP prospects in the pipe right now (not counting Runz or Kamp), and added 3 or 4 more in this draft. I guess we can no longer say we are pitching poor in the system...
