Gotta say, Mike Caldwell seems to be doing a bangup job as pitching coach in Augusta this year.  Escobar's numbers have looked stronger with each successive start.

RafRod is off to a rousing start. Let's see if he's turned a corner and can keep it going.

Rookie AZL  Rangers blanked the Giants 4-0:

Shilo McCall(LF)- 0 for 1, 2 BB, SB(2).  BA= .222.

Someone was asking about Marte a few days ago. Looks like he's in a rehab stint here.

The Giants have several promising lookking position prospects in the DSL this year which is a welcome change from most previous seasons.

  1. Looks like Brown has finally figured things out. Hopefully he can continue.

RafRod, good to see him do well, he's still only 19 YO, so he still has a lot of time to advance up the ladder and make the majors.

Is that Mike Caldwell, former Giants pitcher? Always regretted their trading him.

  2. It appears the rumors of Gary Brown's demise have been greatly exaggerated...

  3. I think Marte was the pitcher I saw against the Angeles' single A team in San Bernardino last year.

He pitched a good game that day.

    1. Don't know if it was the same game, but I was impressed by Marte too. He hit 93 on the pitch tracker's radar guns who were sitting behind me and looked like he had a good changeup and breaking ball to go with it.
