Down on the Farm: 5/3/2012

AAA  Salt Lake City Bees stung the Fresno Grizzlies 5-3:

Francisco Peguero(RF)- 2 for 4, 2B.  BA= .237.
Charlie Culberson(2B)- 1 for 4, HR(5).  BA= .287.

Peggy's line over his last 10 games:  .316/.372/.579.  Culby is showing some power.  4 of his HR have come in his last 10 games for a SLG% of .605 against a .263 BA.  Brock Bond seems to be back in the picture after missing most of last year with injury.

AA  Richmond Flying Squirrels downed the Bowie Baysox 6-2:

Joel Weeks(C)- 3 for 3, 2B.  BA= .304.

Keith Bilodeau(RHP)- 2 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 6.59.

A tough start for Blackburn.  Another strong outing for Neff who has 13 K and just 3 BB in his last 10.2 IP.

  1. Nice to see Franky Pegs get something going. I was a little worried that such a highly touted prospect wasn't able to hit was has traditionally been pretty subpar AAA pitching.

Maybe other fans are like I am, but when a player starts a season off "in a slump," I am always suspicious that something is wrong and it isn't "just a slump." So, obviously, I am relieved with guys like Pegs gets going.
