AAA  Fresno Grizzlies defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers 7-1:

Francisco Peguero(RF)- 2 for 5.  BA= .231.
Roger Kieschnick(LF)- 2 for 3, 2B, 3B, 2 BB.  BA= .329.
Brock Bond(2B)- 3 for 5.  BA= .380.
Tyler LaTorre(DH)- 2 for 3, HR(1), BB.  BA= .267.
Eric Hacker(RHP)- 7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 6 K's.  ERA= 3.70.
George Kontos(RHP)- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 2.41.

AA  Richmond Flying Squirrels edged the Bowie Baysox 5-4:

Gary Brown(CF)- 2 for 4, 2B.  BA= .243.
Ryan Cavan(2B)- 2 for 4.  BA= .266.
Daniel Mayora(3B)- 2 for 4, 2B, 2 SB(2).  BA= .315.
Johnny Monell(C)- 1 for 3, 2B, BB.  BA= .224.

Brown is hitting .275 over his last 10 games, including 1 0 for 5 spot.

High A  San Jose Giants idle.

Low A  Augusta Greenjackets vs Greenville Drive postponed.

  1. I am praying one of Brown, Pegs, Kieschnick steps up as an OF for 2013. We are going to lose one of Pagan or Melky and need a cheap replacement to pay the FA guy we keep. Sign Melky!

      Not a prospect, and bloody unlikely that he could be a MLB starter. But, man, I love a Ryan Vogelsong or Bryan LaHair type story.
