AA Richmond Flying Squirrels swept a pair of 7 inning games from the Trenton Thunder 3-2 and 2-1:

Small sample size, but Dominguez' ability to hit at this level is impressive so far.

Krill homered in his 3'rd consecutive game. He's 7 for 12 with 2 2B and 3 HR in that span. Buechele has homered in his last 2 games.

I alway pay attention to dominant starts, especially from young players. It gives you an idea of what their ceiling might be.

  1. i like monell...calls a good game, strong arm, a little bit of pop...would like to see him in fresno next season to see what he can do

  2. I like Monell too. If he moves up to Fresno next year, I think he will hit a lot more than he has this year. Catchers who can hit a little from the left side can have long MLB careers.

    Belt seemingly has serious problems vs lefties.

  4. FYI, DrB, Baseball America just posted their mid-season top prospect list. They actually list Gary Brown ahead of Zack Wheeler, 33rd vs. 35th.
