Johnny Monell(C)- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .255.

Culby's line is .289/.325/.526 over his last 10 games. Monell is hitting .375 over his last 10 games. Verdugo has 95 K's in 90.1 IP this season.
High A San Jose Giants topped the Visalia Rawhide 3-1:

Low A Augusta Greenjackets finally got a couple of games in sweeping a DH from the Hagerstown Suns 7-0 and 3-2 in 11 innings:

Mike Kickham(LHP)- 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 4.73.

Kickham's start ended when the game was suspended on 7/14.

DSL Giants blanked the Rangers 7-0:

Not sure what Mejia is doing in the DSL but he looks like he's for real.

Drb, Thanks I've learned a lot about Giants minor leaguers from your blog and Baseball America. BA had a interesting article recently on Chuckie Jones. The Giants wanted to start him in Low A Augusta, but he had minor leg and oblique injuries. The trainers are working with him to improve his flexabilty so those injuries don't reoccur. Fred Stanley refers to him as "Mr Jones" because he's build like a man. Interesting that he's athletic enough to play CF at 6'2" 235. Thanks, your blog was the 1st place I heard about him..
