AAA Fresno Grizzlies defeated the Sacramento River Cats 5-1:
Brett Pill- 2 for 5, 2 2B. BA= .298.
Eugenio Velez- 2 for 4, SB(22). BA= .306.
Kevin Pucetas- 4.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 7 K's. ERA= 5.85
Pill has 20 doubles on the season. This was Pucetas' best start in awhile, although he was up to 95 pitches when he was pulled in the 5'th. He must have been on a very strict pitch count.
AA Erie Sea Wolves shut out the Richmond Flying Squirrels 6-0:
Brandon Belt- 0 for 3. BA= .000.
Michael Main- 1.2 IP, 2 H, 4 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 0.00.
Wilmin Rodriguez- 2.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 3.51.
Main has a reputation of letting stuff get to him. Maybe that happened here with all the unearned runs? Haven't called Wilmin's name much. Looking up his stat page reveals why: ERA= 5.54 over last 10 game with season K/BB of 12/14.
High A Lancaster Jethawks blanked the San Jose Giants 4-0:
Ehire Adrianza- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .263.
Francisco Peguero- 1 for 3, BB. BA= .286.
Jose Flores- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .335.
Wendell Fairley- 2 for 4. BA= .276.
Justin Fitzgerald- 6 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 3.27.
SJ's offense may struggle without Belt anchoring the middle.
Low A Augusta Greenjackets edged the Charleston River Dogs 7-6 in 10 innings:
Nick Liles- 2 for 3, 2B, SF, S, HBP, SB(15). BA= .322.
Chris Dominguez- 3 for 6, 2B. BA= .277.
Hector Sanchez- 2 for 4, 2B. BA= .263.
Jeremy Toole- 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 8 K's. ERA= 3.51.
Jose Casilla- 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's. ERA= 1.10.
What a busy line for Nick Liles! Chris Dominguez is hitting .341 with a .614 SLG% over his last 10 games. I'd like to see what Chris could do in San Jose.
Short Season Everett Aquasox edged the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 6-5 in 11 innings:
Kyle Mach- 2 for 6, 2B. BA= .220.
Carter Jurica- 2 for 5, HR(1), S. BA= .188.
Ryan Scoma- 2 for 5, 2B. BA= .462.
Adam Duvall= 3 for 5, HR(1). BA= .333.
Jake Dunning- 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K's. ERA= 4.50.
Dunning has a K/BB of 17/3 in 10 IP.
Rookie AZL Dodgers stomped the AZL Giants 8-2:
John Eshleman- 2 for 4, SB(1). BA= .200.
Kendry Flores- 4.1 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 8 K's. ERA= 11.25.
Kelvin Marte- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K's. ERA= 0.00.
Flores is just 18 yo and has 15 K's in 12 IP. Kelvin Marte returns from TJ surgery!
DSL Giants edged the Marlins 4-3:
Christian Paulino- 2 for 3, BB. BA= .280.
Juan Nova- 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 3.86.
Paulino puts up consistently interesting lines. Nova is an 18 yo RHP- 6'3", 190 lbs.

I would like to see Liles and/or Dominguez get promoted to SJ. The prob is that Biery is having a decent year, and I do not want to move either Dominguez or Biery off of 3B just yet; and Liles looks to be a #1 or #2, not a #3 or #4, which is what SJ needs.
